Get ready to meet your newest country music obsession. Josh Ross is taking Canadian country by storm with his debut album “Later Tonight”. Ross continues to forge his own path in country music after pivoting from a career in football to country music. The Nashville-based, Canadian singer-songwriter just released his debut album “Later Tonight” this past September, which follows his previously released debut EP “Complicated” in 2024.

“Later Tonight” blends modern country with emotional and raw songwriting creating a fresh sound in Ross’s musical journey. His newest 15-track album showcases his diverse range while exploring a variety of themes from heartbreak to resilience to regret. Along with the release of the album, Ross took to Instagram to share his journey towards his first full length album writing “I’ve always wanted to give my listeners an album, but to be honest, I wasn’t ready. I needed time to grow as a songwriter, an artist, and most of all, as a person.”

Ross’s growth is certainly evident throughout the album with a polished sound and emotional lyrics. The title track “Later Tonight” introduces the album with a strong country-pop influence acting as the cornerstone of the album. Acting as the perfect album opener, it’s just about impossible to get this song out of your head.

“My Side of Town” – a song Ross has deemed one of his most personal and important tracks – reels you in with its catchy hook and addictive melody.

The album continues with fan favourite “Single Again”, which in July 2025 earned Ross his first U.S. country radio #1 ahead of the album’s release. Its clever lyricism tells a story of love and longing that makes you want to hit replay every time you listen.

The album ends off with “Scared Of Getting Sober”, a slow and raw track about heartbreak after the first moments of a breakup. Ross not only shows a vulnerable side of himself but reflects on emotions of fear and avoidance of moving on.

Josh’s “Later Tonight Tour” kicks off in Moncton, New Brunswick February 6th, 2026 with dates across Canada you won’t want to miss.

Stay Wild. Stay Vulnerable. Stay Country.
