Every week, New Music Friday is something we look forward to, and this Friday brought so many amazing songs to dive into! Use this as your guide for what to listen to this week!Starting with the albums, HARDY just released his fifth album, COUNTRY! COUNTRY!, which features collaborations with Ernest and Stephen Wilson Jr. The record also includes writing credits from Nashville heavy hitters like Ashley Gorley, Jessie Jo Dillon, Ernest, and, of course, HARDY himself. This 26-song collection is packed with upbeat country bops as well as the kind of country heartbreak that always hits us right in the feels.
Cameron Whitcomb has also released his debut album, The Hard Way, which features his hit single “Medusa.” Cameron sings from such a raw and vulnerable place, and you can really hear that in these songs as well as the final single from the album, “Call For You.”
Earlier this summer, Whiskey Myers’ 2011 song “Broken Window Serenade” gained a surge of popularity on TikTok. Now, on this New Music Friday, the country-rock band has released their sixth album, Whomp Whack Thunder.
Marcus King and his band dropped “Darling Blue,” which features collaborations with Kaitlin Butts, Jesse Wells, and Noah Cyrus. We’re loving his sound!
This week also brought some of our favorite cowboys and cowgirls teaming up for new singles.
Brett Kissel and Dierks Bentley joined forces for “Hurtin’ Songs,” Colbie Caillat featured Maren Morris on “Fallin’ For You,” and Hudson Westbrook partnered with Marshmello for his first genre crossover, “Better Man Than Me,” which blends Marshmello’s EDM/pop vibe with Hudson’s signature Texas country style.
In addition to her collaboration with Colbie Caillat, Maren Morris also released “Beat the Devil,” a powerful and empowering anthem.
TikTok has been showing a lot of love to up-and-coming country artist Ty Myers, who, at just 18 years old, is already releasing soulful, heartache-driven country music. With an album currently in the works, he has just dropped his third single, “Come On Over, Baby.”
Thomas Rhett released a deluxe version of his latest album, About A Woman, which features three new songs, including “On A River.” The track is a beautiful love song that arrived just in time with the announcement this week that he and his wife are expecting another baby!
Safe to say, the country drops on this New Music Friday were stacked, and we can’t wait to have these songs and albums on repeat all week long!
Stay Wild, Stay Creative, Stay Country.
