Country Music in 2026: What’s Dropped So Far

By: Sadie Christine

We’re only in the first couple of weeks of the year, and already we have seen so many amazing releases from some of our favourite country artists, like Zach Bryan, Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, Luke Combs, Tenille Townes, and more. So far, 2026 is looking like an amazing year for music, and in case you have missed the recent releases, here’s a list of some of the newest songs we can’t stop jamming to!

Zach Bryan – With Heaven On Top

Social media has been buzzing about the drop of this new album since its release, with “Say Why” and “Slicked Back” becoming fan-favourite tracks. In addition to this album drop, Zach also released a completely acoustic version that showcases more of the stripped-back, intimate guitar sound that fans love and that started his career.

Luke Combs – Sleepless In a Hotel Room

This most recent single from Luke Combs comes with the announcement of his highly anticipated new album, “The Way I Am,” which drops on March 20th. Luke shares that “ It’s been a long process getting this thing going, but I’m really proud of this record. I’ve loved the song ‘Sleepless in a Hotel Room’ for a long time, and it’s been awesome to see how excited the fans are for that one as well.”

Megan Moroney – “Wish I Didn’t”

We are patiently waiting for MM3 to drop on February 20, and this new single makes us even more excited for her upcoming album. This fiery, sassy track is a warning not to mess with her, or wish she didn’t fall for you in the first place. As she puts it best: “Some killers have guns, but I have songs.”

Ty Myers — “Message to You”

Ty Myers has had a breakout year with the release of his viral hits “Thought It Was Love,” “Stay,” and “Drinkin’ Alone,” as well as a recent performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. His latest single, “Message to You,” captures life on the road and the longing for a special someone back home, while still wanting to be the best partner despite the distance.

Ty has a big year ahead as he gears up for the release of his second album, Heavy On the Soul, set to drop on March 27, along with supporting Luke Combs on select dates of his world tour, as well as headlining many solo shows across Europe and the U.S.

“Enabling” — Tenille Townes

Tenille Townes is a pure songwriter, and her new vulnerable single, “Enabling,” showcases her authentic artistry. Tenille shares that “This song is me confronting a lifelong habit of putting others’ needs above my own. Writing it helped me realize that love isn’t self-sacrifice… sometimes the most loving thing you can do is stand your ground and choose yourself. It also came from realizing how often I’d lost myself trying to rescue the people I loved. I spent so much of my life reading the room, changing myself to keep everyone happy, and avoiding my own feelings in the process. This song is the moment I finally saw that pattern clearly and chose to set boundaries: to love others without abandoning myself.

Tennile calls this her “new vulnerability and freedom era,” and we are so excited to hear more!

Flatland Cavalry — “Never Coming Back” and “Gone”

Breakthrough group Flatland Cavalry has released two new singles that showcase their signature sound: upbeat yet sentimental acoustic music paired with meaningful, cut-through lyrics. “It ain’t so much the fact that you’re leaving / it’s the waiting on you / knowing that you’re never coming back.”

“Church Girl” — Carly Pearce

Late last year, Carly started a series on TikTok about becoming more vulnerable (which you can read here), and this new track is exactly that. This song navigates between what you’ve been taught and learning to let go of guilt.

“What If We Don’t” — Ashley McBryde

Powerhouse Ashley McBryde consistently delivers relatable and heartfelt songs, and this track is no exception. “What If We Don’t” is about laying it all on the line and fighting for the person you love. This year, Ashley is hitting the road, supporting both Eric Church and Chris Stapleton on select tour dates, and we already know those shows are going to be incredible.

Dandelion— Ella Langley

Our girl Ella is back with new music after her highly successful single, “Choosin’ Texas,” and we are very excited. Ella recently announced her second album, Dandelion, with a release date of April 10th. The title track, co-produced with Miranda Lambert, is a breezy, reflective song that brings her back to her roots and highlights resilience, persistence, and growth. We are picking up on some Kacey Musgraves inspiration on this song, and we are loving this vibe! Perfect for the album’s spring release.

McArthur— HARDY, Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, and Tim McGraw

The internet was buzzing when all four of these country heavy hitters were teasing this song on social media. This track showcases each artist with their own storytelling verse, delivering a sentimental song with the standout lyric “when you pass on, what you gonna pass down?”

Bar and Back — Josh Ross

“Bar and Back” is the first single since the release of Josh’s sophomore album, Later Tonight, and is a heartfelt song about someone who wants more from a relationship while the other person doesn’t feel the same.

Lorelei — ERNEST

Ernest is one of the most proclaimed writers in country music, and his new single, “Lorelei,” demonstrates that. This catchy song is a vibey summer track and one that, according to Ernest, “takes you straight to the beach.”

There have been so many amazing songs and projects released already, and we can’t wait to see what else is to come!
