The holiday season has officially started, and some of country music’s best hit the stage to ring in the Christmas season on the annual CMA Country Christmas holiday special.
Hosted by Jordan Davis and Lauren Daigle, this year’s celebration had performances from Parker McCollum, Lady A, Megan Moroney, Riley Green, Little Big Town and more!
Lady A opened the show singing “ Glory to God”, followed by Parker McCollum performing his Apple Music exclusive “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”
Riley Green then took the stage to perform his 2024 Christmas song “Christmas to Me,” which is a song about family holiday nostalgia and tradition. Little Big Town performed the Merle Haggard classic “If We Make It Through December,” which is included in their new Christmas album The Christmas Record.
Lady A returned to sing their new country single “Wouldn’t Be Christmas,” off their Christmas album On This Winter’s Night, Volume 2.
Our Country Queen, Megan Moroney, performed “All I Want for Christmas Is a Cowboy” from her 2024 Christmas EP Blue Christmas…Duh, and she brought the style with a red velvet and fur dress with a red bow. Please, Santa please, all she wants for Christmas is a cowboy!
Jordan Davis collaborated with Little Big Town for a country version of “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”
To close the show, BeBe Winans, who performed earlier in the night, brought it home with a powerful performance of “We Are the Reason.”
This was such a great night dedicated to beautiful renditions of country classics and new country favourites we will be listening to all season long. Stay tuned for our Wild Hearted Christmas playlist dropping on Spotify! Check our Instagram for all the details!
