New Music Friday is always packed with brand new projects from some of your favourite music artists and groups. This week’s edition is dominated by country tracks from today’s biggest and up-and-coming stars you don’t want to miss!

Bailey Zimmerman – “Chevy Silverado”

Gearing up for the release of his sophomore studio album, Cherry Silverado is the final single before Same Rodeo drops next Friday! Bailey is no stranger to singing about heartache and breakups, and this new song definitely tugs at the heartstrings.

HARDY – “Bottomland”

Earlier this year, HARDY released his Country EP, featuring tracks that were well-received by country radio. He recently announced an expanded project called Country Country, with 15 new songs added on top of the original EP. “Bottomland” is the first single from the extension, a heartfelt ballad that reflects on his country roots and identity. The song was teased on social media before release, which had Megan Moroney showing love for it as well as praising co-writer Jesse Jo Dillon on her involvement.

Zach Top – “South of Sanity”

We’ve said it before, Zach Top is doing country the old-fashioned way, and we’re here for it. His second single from the upcoming album Ain’t In It For My Health is no exception. This track in particular channels that classic country ballad sound, and it hits just right.

Russell Dickerson – “Worth Your Wild”

“Worth Your Wild” is extending our summer soundtrack with nods to classic summertime tunes and themes of soaking in the moment. Adding it to the playlist ASAP!

Maren Morris – Dreamsicle Deluxe

Following last week’s social media-teased single “be a bitch,” Maren dropped the rest of the deluxe tracks from Dreamsicle, her latest album and her first project leaning more into pop while staying true to herself. These new tracks are rooted in empowerment from start to finish, which is guaranteed to give listeners a boost in their lemonade. See what we did there? Ha!

Jon Batiste & Randy Newman – “Lonely Avenue”

This collaboration just makes sense! It’s a beautiful blend of blues and jazz, which (let’s not forget!) are part of the roots of country music.

The Wood Brothers – “Puff of Smoke”

“Puff of Smoke” mixes folk and Americana in a way that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new.

Colbie Caillat feat. Maddie & Tae – “Live Without”

Since Colbie’s transition into country, she’s been delivering lyrically vulnerable, relatable tunes. This collaboration with Maddie & Tae is a natural fit. We love it when the coastal cowgirls team up!

Chris Janson – “Wild Horses”

Wild Horses is Chris Janson’s sixth album, and the long-teased single “Fight for a Girl” is finally here. It’s upbeat, fun, and made for your summer playlist.

Anna Bates – “The Interview”

Anna brings a spoken-word, old-school country vibe to New Music Friday. Her soft vocals and acoustic guitar make every word feel intimate and intentional.

High Valley – “I’m Leavin’ You”

You can catch this loyalty-themed track next weekend at Boots and Hearts, where High Valley hits the stage on Saturday!

Dawson Gray – “Chevy Back”

This catchy country-rock anthem from newcomer Dawson Gray is destined to be blasting at summer parties. You’ll be singing along: “I just want my Chevrolet back!”

So, what’s your favourite new country track this week — or is there one we missed? Let us know on socials!
