Dalton Davis, otherwise known as “The Cowboy Cassanova” is the embodiment of country music, however Dalton didn’t set out with that intention at all, making him all the more country in the best way. He released his first single in only October of last year but his artistry stems long before that.

Dalton’s story is a whirlwind, growing up in North Carolina getting his musical start in gospel to living in a content house of rappers and R&B artists, to meeting Midland by chance at a diner in Chattanooga and asking to open for them. He’s lived a life out of a garth brooks song, but this wild journey led him to Nashville where he’s established himself as an artist of many facets.
Over the last year and a half Dalton went from playing shows in rundown barns to having a publishing deal with Universal. All thanks to a watch that his business partner graciously traded midland when the two met the band having breakfast, in return for Dalton to get his first big break. He then went on to open for Midland multiple nights in a row, this crazy series of events triggered the launch of his career and he’s been on the rise ever since.
His music is bringing back honky tonk in a very authentic way all while feeling fresh and exciting. His latest single “So Far So Good” dropped at the end of march and everything about it oozes country charm. He co-wrote the song with Ryan Tyndell who has worked with many country legends like Eric Church and Charlie Worsham. The song has an intro that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a showdown in the wild west, using a lot of fun cliche country elements that create a classic swinging soundscape. Something that seems to be a theme across the discography that Daltons released in the last year.
Dalton’s artistry can be seen in all avenues of his work from sound, to aesthetics and brand, he’s hands on, and puts emphasis on it all. His look is distinct and purposeful, as he said on The Raised Rowdy Podcast, he sticks to the belief “People will see you nine times out of ten before they hear you.” This careful curation has served him well getting him recognition from brands for his Willie Nelson inspired vibe. He knows exactly what he’s doing with the image that he’s built, yet it’s all one hundred percent true to himself.

Dalton is doing it all, he started a Nashville based production company called “Good Peoples Agency” with a focus on film that’s responsible for the production on the promo behind Dasha’s “Austin.” Dalton is on the country music map, both behind the music and its artists, bringing a new vibe to all areas of the industry.
Stay wild. Stay authentic, Stay country.
